Maternity registration formalities

Maternity registration takes place every day from 9am to 5.30pm at the clinic reception desk.

Documents required:

  • An identity document (identity card, passport or residence permit)
  • 100% maternity certificate issued by Social Security
  • Up-to-date Vitale card
  • Deposit cheque
  • Letter from the clinic practitioner
  • Mutual insurance cover on the day of admission at the latest (no cover will be accepted after discharge)
  • Blood group card

CMU certificate (if you are a beneficiary)

You can register at the clinic on the day of your consultation with the anaesthetist by coming 30 minutes beforehand.

Preparing for childbirth

A better pregnancy and childbirth also means being better informed. The clinic offers childbirth preparation sessions for expectant mothers. These courses are given by independent midwives on Mondays, Thursdays and Fridays.

Different types of preparation are available (breathing techniques, relaxation therapy, haptonomy).

Your doctor's secretariat will provide you with all the information you need. The sessions are covered by social security.

When should you come to the maternity unit?

In the following cases:

  • If you have regular, painful contractions
  • If you are bleeding
  • If you have a fever
  • If you notice a loss of amniotic fluid or a significant drop in your baby's movements
  • On your due date

If you are worried about anything, don't hesitate to call your doctor at his surgery or a midwife at the clinic 24 hours a day on 01 40 54 07 87 or 01 44 01 03 91.

Documents you need to bring for your delivery

Medical documents

  • Blood group card
  • The blood group card is a vitally important medical document in the event of haemorrhage.
  • In order to be usable, it must meet precise specifications laid down by law.
  • It is essential that its validity is checked by the anaesthetist during the pre-anaesthetic consultation.
  • If you do not have one, or if yours does not comply, the anaesthetist will ask you to draw one up before the delivery.

It is essential that you have the following with you when you are admitted:

  • Results of all laboratory tests
  • All ultrasounds
  • X-rays
  • Pregnancy monitoring booklet or letter from your doctor
  • The list of medicines taken during pregnancy
  • The liaison form drawn up by your doctor

Administrative documents

  • Your identity document (identity card, passport or residence permit)
  • Your family record book
  • Early acknowledgement of paternity (if applicable)
  • Your health insurance cover
