Maternité Sainte Thérèse Paris

The medical team

You are our guest, and your stay will be in a humane and secure environment.

The skills and vigilance of all our medical, nursing, hotel and administrative staff are your guarantee of safety and rest, to ensure you have the best possible stay.

They all put their skills and know-how at your disposal.

Your doctor

As a gynaecologist and obstetrician, your doctor will be in charge of your hospitalisation and your medical care throughout your stay.

At night, an obstetrician is on call to ensure your safety.

Anaesthetists

A team of intensive care anaesthetists can provide you with epidural analgesia 24 hours a day.

You will have the opportunity to discuss this with them during the consultation at the beginning of the 8th month.

The midwives

They welcome you as soon as you arrive in the delivery room and look after you throughout your labour, in coordination with your obstetrician-gynaecologist.

As soon as you register at the clinic, if you have an emergency and cannot contact your doctor, you can call the midwife on duty (01 44 01 03 91 and 01 40 54 07 87), who will give you useful advice or ask you to come to the clinic for a consultation.

Paediatricians

A paediatrician is available 24 hours a day to deal with any urgent problems. The clinic's paediatric team monitors your baby on a daily basis. Your child's clinical examinations will take place

  • On the day of birth: either in the labour ward or in the nursery.
  • During the discharge visit: on the 3rd day, you will be able to talk to your baby and ask any questions you may have.

The nursing team

The Care Unit Manager is responsible for directing and organising nursing care and liaising with the administration. To make your stay as pleasant as possible, she will be happy to listen to your concerns. The nurses, midwives and childcare assistants administer care on medical prescription and constantly monitor patients and their babies. They are on hand to advise you and answer any questions you may have.

Staff can be identified

Breastfeeding referral

As part of our efforts to improve the quality of breastfeeding care and to provide you with appropriate support, the breastfeeding consultant midwife will be available to listen to your needs and give you practical advice during your stay.

The psychologist

A psychologist is available several times a week to help you overcome difficult situations or answer any questions you may have.

Osteopath

The osteopath "listens to the body with his hands", detecting any tensions and using gentle techniques to help the little one find overall balance. The osteopath is at your service for your baby's well-being.

The physiotherapist

A physiotherapist is available to help with lower back pain. He also treats positional anomalies in newborn babies. Don't hesitate to speak to the nursing staff, who will make an appointment for you during your stay.
