Focus on anaesthetic consultation

This consultation is compulsory

The anaesthetist-intensive care team is permanently on duty in the clinic; this team is made up of 4 doctors.

This consultation gives you the opportunity to meet an intensive care anaesthetist and discuss pain management.An epidural anaesthetic will be offered and explained to you, to ensure maximum safety and comfort during your delivery. The report of this visit will be inserted directly into your medical file.

The consultation service is located on the ground floor of the clinic: 9 rue Gustave Doré 75017 Paris.

You must make an appointment at least 7 and a half months into your pregnancy. You can make an appointment with an anaesthetist-intensive care doctor:

  • By telephone Monday to Friday from 2pm to 6pm on 01 44 01 30 00
  • On the ground floor at the main reception desk
  • Online via Doctolib, by clicking here (choose "anaesthesia" in the "speciality" section)

Documents to bring with you on the day of the consultation:

  • Identity document (national identity card, passport, residence permit)
  • Letter from your doctor and/or liaison form
  • Blood group card,
  • ultrasound scan
  • Blood tests,
  • Cardiological tests,
  • Radiopelvimetry if you have one,
  • Any X-rays,
  • Prescriptions for your current treatment if you are taking one.

At the time of your consultation, you should be presented with an estimate of the extra fees for anaesthesia during childbirth.Check with your mutual insurance company to find out whether these procedures are covered by the delivery package. Register
