Leaving the maternity hospital

You and your child are discharged on medical advice.

Depending on the conditions for reimbursement by your social security or mutual insurance company, you will have to pay :

  • The part not covered by social security (co-payment and insurance contribution)
  • Additional accommodation costs: private room, accompanying person's bed, etc.
  • Additional fees for practitioners.

For furtherinformation, please contact our reception staff.

Health certificate

Before discharge, the child's health record will be given to you by the nursery assistant, completed by you, stamped and signed by the paediatrician. It contains a brief summary of what happened during the child's stay, as well as a discharge prescription for the baby. You must make an appointment with your paediatrician within two weeks of your discharge.

After accompanying you throughout your stay, the team will advise you on discharge (breastfeeding, feeding, bottle preparation, etc.).

In order to provide you with the best possible support when you return home, and if you wish, we can set up a link with our midwifery and childcare colleagues at the PMI (Protection Maternelle et Infantile) in your area.

You can contact a local midwife for a mother and child consultation in your area. Her home visit is reimbursed at 100% within ten days of your delivery. You can find the midwife's contact details on the Conseil de l'ordre des sages-femmes website or in the Yellow Pages.

Don't hesitate to ask us for advice on referrals to early childhood specialists.

Satisfaction questionnaire

In order to continually improve the quality of our care and services, we have set up a system for collecting feedback from patients and their relatives. It is your responsibility to complete the exit questionnaire that will be given to you on admission. We invite you to leave it in the boxes provided, with the care worker on the floor or the housekeeper, or to return it by post to the establishment's management.

Each questionnaire is carefully analysed and your observations, comments and suggestions are taken into consideration.

Outings

Your doctor will visit you several times during your stay and, in agreement with you and the paediatrician, will determine your discharge date.

Discharges must be made before 11am. You or the person accompanying you must complete the administrative formalities from 9am at the billing office the day before or the day of discharge. This office is on the ground floor. Please do your best to respect these times.

To save time, you can complete your formalities the day before your discharge. You must report to the discharge office before leaving the clinic.

Medical fees

Most of our practitioners charge free fees. It is the doctors' responsibility to inform you of the amount of any excess fees before your hospitalisation. These may be fully or partially reimbursed, depending on your mutual insurance contract.
